I still cannot find the words that express how much comfort, support and kindness that was given to us at the WORST time in our lives when my brother Michael Jones went home. First my grandmother and most recently my brother. The customer service and preparations were top notch and our family was well pleased!

The passing of my mother in the COVID environment was Extremely hard on my family and I. I was 200 miles away from the hospital in NY where my mom was receiving care without the ability to visit her due to her positive COVID 19 diagnosis. When my mom passed on May 7th 2020 I was devastated and had to make funeral arrangements from 200 miles away. With the short timeline given to retrieve my moms body from the hospital it was challenging to find a funeral home I trusted to take on the task. After getting connected with Shannon at SLMcLaughlin by a relative I immediately felt comfort in her professionalism and detailed process. Shannon walked me through the process step by step on how my mother will be cremated and sent to me in Maryland for a Memorial Service. Shannon kept me posted when my mothers body was being retrieved from the hospital and also prior to cremation. This communication provided me the comfort I needed to get through with not physically being by mother’s side. I appreciate your communication and compassion throughout this process. Thank you!

The first time I said the words my husband has passed, was on the phone with Shannon. The care, thoughtfulness, graciousness and understanding that she has displayed from that moment forward will never be forgotten. I feel that God Blessed us with being able to have this type of Excellence in the Capital Region. The Crowning ceremony was absolutely the most touching and my first time ever seeing it done. I just can't get the vision out of my mind they put my mother away like a Queen. My mother looked 30 years younger. Shannon McLaughlin my family is so please all 250 everybody is so pleased. She didn't have no sickness in her face I would recommend your service your team was so nice it was just so spiritual all my friends are talking about how beautiful and polite your team was to them. I have been in & out sleeping all day just can't get it out my mind how beautiful my mother looked. This young lady took all the sickness from my mom you had to see it to believe it She looked like she was sleeping. I have to recommend McLaughlin Funeral Home the imprint she left in my mind of my mother is so beautiful.
