Willie James Middleton

On Sunday night, August 9, 2020, death came peacefully to Willie James Middleton (“Jack Stokes”), at Albany Medical Center in Albany, NY.  He was 76 years old.  Willie was born in Bamberg, SC on September 21, 1943.  He was educated in the Bamberg school system and graduated in 1961.

In 1970 he relocated to Troy, NY where he attended Hudson Valley Community College and earned an associate’s degree in General Studies.  Upon graduation, he was employed at General Electric in Waterford, NY for over 10 years.  Willie also had an entrepreneurial spirit and owned two night clubs in the late eighties and early nineties.  He was a longtime Masonic Temple member and enjoyed the camaraderie of his fellow brothers.  He was also an avid sports fan.

He is predeceased by his mother Helen Graham, her husband Isaiah Graham and his daughter Jacqueline Middleton.  

He is survived by his children:  Barry J. Warren (Kymberly), Anthony Williams, Katrina Middleton (Michael), Rodney Middleton (Aric), Jamie Middleton (Montitine)), Wentra Middleton-Freeman (Douglas), Dante Pryor and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
