Vonnie LaRose McGrew was born September 13, 1963 to Lizzie Mae McGrew Smith and Ezell Pringle, Jr. in Lavaca, Alabama. She was preceded in death by two siblings Beatrice Pringle Goines and Wanda Mills. Her grandparents also preceded her in death Mrs. Celeste Watters of Lavaca, Alabama and Ezell Pringle, Sr. and Annie Ruth Pringle of Lisman, Alabama
Vonnie attended Choctaw County Schools in early life and graduate from Schenectady High School in Schenectady, New York. Vonnie was employed at The Rehabilitation Center in Albany, New York until she retired.
Vonnie was a caring person that loved having a good time with her family and friends. Vonnie made her last trip in Alabama to celebrate her mother’s birthday and her family get together in early July. She loved to collect purses and perfumes.
Vonnie leaves to cherish her memories to her dear son Tony Thompson and fiance Walter Thompson both of Albany, New York ,her mother Lizzie Mae Smith of Anchorage, Alaska and father Ezell Pringle, Jr ( Willie Mae) of Lisman, Alabama. Her siblings Audrey McGrew and Fredrick Smith of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, Shontay Shavoy and Wayne Smith of Albany, New York, Tommy Smith of Anchorage, Alaska, Della Smith of Clearwater, Florida, Barbara Smith of Brunswick, Georgia, Micheal Smith of Lumpkincomb, North Carolina, Rodney Smith of Raleigh, North Carolina, Rev. Willie L. Pringle, Sr.(Wanda) of Pennington, Alabama, Milton Harbin of Butler, Alabama, Felicia Pringle Berry(Dexter) of Conyers, Georgia, Tracy Pringle, Amy Pringle Elliott (Jimmy), Roderick Pringle all of Lisman, Alabama, Stephanie Jenkins of Detroit, Michigan; a host of uncles, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
