On Thursday February 11, 2021 the Lord came to receive his servant Victor Wallace Cain. Victor was born August 18, 1960 In Albany, NY. Victor was one of eight children, Born to the late George Noble Cain Sr and Oneather Cain(Carter). Victor shared a very special bond with his mother. 
 
Victor was a 1979 graduate of Albany High School. He continued his education at Hudson Valley Community College, where he studied Criminal Justice. Victor began his career in 1981 at Albany County Jail, where he worked in corrections for 6 years. For the next 10 years he worked at Glenmont Job Corps in Glenmont, New York. After leaving Glenmont he found his passion when he joined the Albany City School district in 1984 until his retirement in 2016. Victor began as a Hall Monitor at the former Phillip Livingston Magnet Academy from 1984 to 1988, and then served in the same role at Albany High School, until he was appointed as Home School Coordinator at the high school in 2002 until 2009. Then on to the former Alternative Learning Center and Albany School Of Humanities(ASH) until his retirement. Victor also served for two decades as a chairman of the Albany Housing Authority Board of Commisioners. 
He proudly served the students and families of our community throughout his life. Managing local community centers for our youth at the V.I, Arbor Hill community center and softball field.
In his spare time he loved going to Stewart’s to drink coffee, read the newspaper and play his numbers. He also enjoyed cheering for his favorite football team the New York Jets on Sunday afternoons.
 
Victor is survived by his wife Brigitte Dobbs-Cain, step son Kahleem Perrin, Stepdaughter Mica Gaddy, as well as his step-grandchildren Jedidiah, Kamala, Noelle, Nylani, Noah, Alaia and Kahleem Jr. His Siblings Kathleen, George, Harry (Telisa) Sheena,Joyce Louise,and Jocelyn( Andre Moore).God-mother Panchita, God-brother Booker T, and God-Sister Benita. A host of nieces and nephews; Alnida, Tameika, Damara, Hikeem, Taquesha, Shameek, Sharena, Brittany, Kenneth, Keiasha, Sadiem, Nysherra (Elijah Hudson), De’Vante, Samiyah, Issiah, Shaneif, Sa’Oddah, Zierra and Arkia. A host of great nieces and nephews Shyerra, Malcolm, Shaquanda, Khymeir, Shazeir, Zaniyyah, Ja’von, ZaKari, Kareem, Jazmine, Mehkii, Anari, Hadiyyah, Aa’Mahjii, Samari, Janiah Jah’meir, Laniya, Makayla, Rahmyi, Asani, Kahsiyah, Dream, Anyelah, Mashiyah, Elisha, Melani, Desire and River. 
 
His very best friends, Richard Tucker, Field Blanchard, Randy Blanchard and Terry Jones. As well as long term friend and mentor Jerry Jennings.
