Valerie J. Dunk (Fullard) 61 of Cohoes, NY passed away peacefully on August 30, 2022 surrounded by her loving family. Valerie was born in Albany, NY on August 31, 1960 to the late Eddie and Vivian Fullard. She was raised in Albany where she attended Albany City schools and graduated from Albany High in 1978.
Valerie was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother but most importantly she was a devout servant of the Lord Jesus Christ. As a life long resident of Albany, she held several positions throughout the city that coincided with her passion for children, those in the assisted living community and church.
Valerie loved her family, bingo (in which she was an avid player) and her relationship with the Lord.
Valerie was predeceased by her parents the late Eddie and Vivian Fullard, brother Raine Fullard and several maternal/paternal aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins; sister in laws Hortense Burns and Mary Artis; brother in laws Donald Artis and Albert Artis. She was also predeceased by her beloved Rottweiler Asiah.
Valerie is survived by her husband Claude Artis Dunk of Cohoes, NY, daughters; Tashea (Daiwan) Perry, Tomiko Artis, Son; Lincoln Artis, Granddaughter Kaliera Perry, her aunt Barbara Dabbs, all of Albany, NY, her uncle Bernard Edmunds of Pittsfield, MA , siblings; Edward (Alveria) Fullard of Charlotte,NC, Louella (Tiny) Graham, Ruth (Tootie) Lane, Maureen (Gosnel) Smith all of Albany, NY; Sister in laws Barbara Burt Barney, Florence Walters; Brother in law James (Cheryl) Artis. She also leaves behind her cherished friends Bev, Debbie, Beulah, Anna, Ms. Shirley and June Coleman.
Valerie left a lasting impression on everyone she met. Valerie’s presence will be missed as she was loved dearly.
