Tommie Moses

Tommie Lee Moses returned to the Lord of all Lords on February 13, 2024, at home with his family as he wished. He was born November 18, 1944, to James Mitchell Moses (deceased) and Carrie Ethel Washington-Moses (deceased) in East Tallassee, Alabama. Tommie attended Wall Street High School in Tallassee, Alabama. Tommie worked for many years as a labourer and a Machine Operator. He was very proud to have worked many years for General Electric in Syracuse, NY, in which he received a pension.

Tommie was known as a man of few words and often spoke so low that you couldn’t hear him, he was also known as a powerful man and was well respected and loved by his family and friends. Tommie loved to fish, cook southern food. He was an avid experienced mechanic and farmer. He was known to teach many people how to grow their own vegetables.

Tommie was predeceased by his loving parents Carrie and James Moses, his sisters, Jacqueline Mack (Albany), Martha Moses (Albany), Bernadine Brown (Brooklyn), his brother Willie James Moses (Albany) and son in law Damon Foster (Charlotte, NC). 

Tommie Leaves to cherish his memories, his sisters Peggy (Otha)Balaam (Syracuse, NY), Yvonne (Willie) Jordan (Mississippi), Jeanette (Samuel) South (Albany, NY), Woodrow Simpson (California), his beloved 5 children: Priscilla Lanier (Chicago, IL), Tarla Foster & Kourtney Moses both of (Charlotte, NC), Kori & Kristopher (Shawnah) Moses both of (Albany, NY). Tommie has 23 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephew he loved dearly. Tommie had several special buddies he loved to hang out with from Albany, NY: James Johnson Sr, Larry Nordel Burden, Purvis (PJ) Johnson and Robert Lloyd.
