Todd Sheldon Hoke, affectionately known as Crunch throughout the city that he loved; was born in Albany, NY on October 4, 1960, to the late Catherine {Jackson} and Gerald Hoke; and on July 30, 2023, his soul was returned to the essence.
To us, Todd was love. Full of positive light, he knew no strangers. Always the critical thinker, there weren’t too many aspects of the world that he wasn't curious about. His astute perspectives and optimistic messages were valued. He selfishly loved and cherished spending time with his family, friends and fortifying his bond with his daughter Nyla became his purpose and greatest achievement.
Welcomed into the Kingdom by his parents Catherine and Gerald Hoke, grandparents Arment Young, Andrew Jackson, Helen and Philip Hoke; {Aunt Shorty} Mary Ward, brother Dale Jackson, his baby girl La-Nica and many more treasured family and dear friends. He leaves the riches of his memory to his loving daughter Nyla Hoke and his devoted siblings Wayne and Kent Jackson, Sharon Moore (and brother in law Fred), Cathy Gates, Gerald Craig, Myles and Brad Hoke; as well as a host of special nieces, nephews and even more cousins, friends and his community.
A celebration in honor of Todd will be held on Friday, August 18, 2023 at 11am at The Historic Wilborn Temple C.O.G.I.C, 121 Jay Street, Albany, NY 12210. All friends and family are invited to join us in continued celebration on Saturday, August 19, 2023, at 1pm at Todd’ favorite spot-Albany’s Riverfront Park.
