Tiernan Quinell James Jackson was an amazing, fun loving and loyal son, brother and uncle. He was born June 16, 1993 in Albany, New York to Pamela Salmon and Otis Jackson, and grew into a man who always put his family first. He passed away unexpectedly right before his 32nd birthday on Saturday, June 14, 2025. Tiernan was a hard working man who often had more than one job, and always contributed to making sure his son, nieces and nephews were taken care of, no matter what. He was educated in Albany School District, attended St. James parochial school and graduated from Livingston Middle School and completed his high degree. He loved to play basketball, loved music, loved DC comics, anime movies and he loved baked ziti as well!
Tiernan was always willing to help. Everyone who came into contact with him knew he was the life of the party and just naturally great to be around. Tiernan has left so many treasured memories for his siblings: Turquoise Moten, L’Chrishia Moten, Kenny Jackson, Jaivonte (Jahan) Salmon, Montel Whitney, Keana Li Jackson, and Stanley Subi Jackson. He was looking forward to making many more memories with his 12 year old son Mekhi Jackson, who has his father’s kindness, dimples and beautiful smile. We know Tiernan’s spirit has gone to join his beloved mother Pamela (Moten) Salmon, his grandparents Mr. Thomas and Mrs. Effie Chadwick, and his infant daughter Mahlayah. He also leaves his dear companion Larissa Oliver, his grandmother Geanethel “Grandma Gean” Denard, his grandfather Leslie Roy Salmon, Sr., and a group of loving aunts, uncles, and cousins. His memory will live on in all of our hearts.
