Stoney Richardson Jr. was born on September 17th, 1957 in Albany, NY , to the late Stoney Sr. & Juanita Richardson. On January 19th, 2025 due to a sudden illness, peacefully departed life. Stoney (better known as “Rock, Mr Yadda Yadda” ) was one of eleven siblings who was known for his sense of humor, words of wisdom, infectious personality and his smile. He received his education in the Albany City School System, graduating from Philip Schuyler High School. A lifelong resident of the South End, Stoney embraced life on his own terms. After completing high school, he worked as a laborer at Jimmy Webb Farm and as a cook at the Schuyler Inn. Stoney was known for his loyalty, dependability, and warm personality. Whether someone needed advice, a laugh, or a helping hand, he was always there. A devoted father, he had a deep love for music and dancing, finding joy in life's simple pleasures. Stoney cherished the time he spent with his family and friends. His infectious energy and spirit made him the life of every gathering, creating unforgettable memories for all who knew him. Stoney was predeceased by his parents; Stoney Sr. and Juanita Richardson; his siblings; Elvis Richardson, Katie Macon, Matthew Gene Annie and Frances Richardson. One Bonus Child: El-I-Meek Rouse. Stoney leaves to cherish his memory the love of his life; Carol (Sequanna) L. Richardson. His children, Dionne N. Harvey of Dallas, GA, Stoney Richardson III (Virginia Mason) of Albany NY, Tissiney K. Chaney (Willie Chaney, Jr. ) of Albany, NY; Bonus child: Sequasia Rouse. Grandchildren; Jienaia , Kentasia, Alana, Iiyqueyvia, Majahlik, Justice, Kennadi, Kenya-Vonna, Mitchell and Arya Nicole. Bonus Grandchildren: Sharri, El-Dior, Prince and Tristian. Four great grandchildren; Pryce, Legacy, Ellory and Sebastian. Sisters, Lorenda Harris (Jerry) Williams of Atlanta GA, and Catherine Richardson of Albany, NY, Patricia and Lisa Richarson of Tampa, FL; brothers, John, Eddie Richardson all of Albany, NY, Melvin (Jeanette) Richardson, of Fayetteville, NC; In-law; Willie Tolbert of High Point , NC. Two Aunts; Mary(Willie, Sr.) Dickerson Of Union Springs Alabama and Flora Grimes Of Detroit, Michigan and one Uncle; Joe Richardson Of Alabama and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives. In addition to everyone in the Southend Community who knew, loved and respected him.
