Shamear Davis

 SHAMEAR IKEE DUPREE DAVIS 

Shamear transitioned into the arms of Jesus suddenly on March 5th, 2023.

Shamear  affectionately known as "Tree" born on March 20, 1987. He was the son of the late Thea Rucker -Slaughter and Horace "Lequan" Davis of Albany NY.

Shamear  was educated in the Albany School System & was last employed at The Consolidated Warehouse in Menands NY.

Shamear  was a loving son, grandson, nephew, brother, father, cousin, and friend. 

Shamear  loved his family and friends and he enjoyed his life to the fullest and on his terms. In his free time, he enjoyed listening to music, cracking jokes, spending time with his kids and eating. He loved his Grandmother Betty meals and especially her Mac and cheese and he too often sought out one of his late mothers favorite foods til his departure, hamburger helper. 

Shamear, our family's gentle giant and our sweetheart will forever be remembered for his genuine heart, his contagious laugh, and the love he showed to others.

Shamear  was predeceased by his Mother Thea Rucker -Slaughter, Paternal grandmohter Lucyann Davis , Paternal grandfather Winford Rucker,  Maternal great grandparents Georgia Mae Singletary and Jasper Singletary, Paternal great grandparents  Winford and Orlean Rucker,  Step mother Theresa Dean -Davis , aunt Georgia Mae Singletary, and Helen Jones. 

Shamear  is survived by his children Ah’Quavon Davis, Ky-onna Davis and Sha-meara Davis. (Albany NY). His finace Latasha McCall , his father Horace "Lequan" Davis, step father Jerry "Shaborn" Slaughter, his grandparents Betty (Michael) Gross, and Louise Thorton. His siblings Kahlim (Jessica) Smalls, Ahkim (Jade) Howard,  Jahjuan Davis, Quavon Davis , Kahlelah Davis and Vondasia Davis. Step siblings, Lanhaire (Bianca) Johnson, Lahmere (Vanessa) Johnson, Sahreena Johnson, Daquan Johnson, Lashonda & Aijawha Slaughter. He is also survived by his Aunts Bridget (Juan) Singletary- Turner, Gwen "Fatima" Rucker, Lisa "Star" (Trison) Burrell, Lena Thorton, Linda Thorton, ( Albany NY) . Delma Johnson, Lynette Rucker (Columbia , MD), Winette Cooper and Octavious (Schenectady NY), Carmella summerville, (Detroit MI). His Uncles Anthony (Anna) Singletary, Gaston Hooks, Tristen Gross, Eddy Davis, Tony Thorton, and Ricky "El" Thorton (Albany NY). Dennis Rucker (Columbia, MD), Jerome Scott Rucker, Maurice Miller, Darren Irvin, Curtis Farmer (Albany NY), Maurice Rucker (Hudson NY), Darryl Rucker (California), Godmother Debra Daniels. His childhood best Friend for life and ride or dye Elijah "Paco" Cain, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
