Roy Sanders JR was called home to be with the Lord on May 31st, 2022. He was born to LouDella Simms and Roy Sanders SR. on October 29,1966 in Albany NY. He was educated within the Albany school district and employed as a custodial maintenance man within the capital district, Roy loved music he was a big fan of the up-and-coming DJ industry in the 80s and became a self-taught DJ at the age of 15. He would attend several parties through-out the capital district and soon received many requests to play at all different occasions. People loved to come out and listen to his music they would dance and party all night. He was a pioneer with electronics he loved being able to fix anything and bring it back new especially stereo equipment. Roy had a big heart and love for everyone there was nothing he wouldn’t do for anyone. He was a compassionate spirit and was a good friend to many and showed his love freely without hesitation. He will be missed for his smart talking mouth his laughter and music.
Roy is predeceased by LouDella Simms (Mother) Roy Sanders SR (Father) Ceresa Simms (Sister)Mason Arrington (uncle) Edward Arrington (uncle) and Ceresa Simms (Grandmother).
Roy leaves to cherish his legacy of love and respect to his only Daughter Davia Sanders and Son Roy Cortez Amir Sanders III. Two Grandchildren Adonis Sanders and Aija Greene (Aijiwashi). Four sisters Lola Smith, Stephanie Sanders, Gladys Watts, and Janet Crawford. Four brothers Charles Sanders, Herman Smith, Robert Johnson, and Mark Johnson. His Stepfather James Johnson, two aunts Patrice McCall and Beatrice Mullen, four uncles Benny Simms, Steven Arrington (Curly), Jimmy Cook and Wylie Simms along with a host of nieces and nephews.
A repass will be held on Saturday, June 11th at 1:00PM.
