Robert Boston Obituary

Robert was born in Little Rock, Arkansas to Mary Frances Scott-Boston and Rev. Ernest Lundy Boston. He was the youngest of five children born to this union. Robert passed away on July 30, 2025, at St. John Episcopal Hospital, Queens, New York. He was an avid chef who loved to cook. He taught himself at an early age. One of his favorite dishes was Baked Ziti and all other variations of pasta. Robert loved to spend time with his nieces and nephews. He was always telling jokes that were sometimes not so funny! Robert, known as "Rob L" in the Albany-Schenectady area, was a DJ who devoted his time to music whenever possible.

As much as he loved those things, he also loved the Lord. He gave his life to Christ professing to his brother Rev. David Boston and cousin, Rev. Walter Williams. Robert was previously a member of Israel AME Church in Albany, New York, and is currently affiliated with Bethel AME Church in Schenectady, New York under the pastorage of Rev. Charles Rogers.

Robert attended elementary school in Syracuse, New York. He also attended secondary schools in Wyandanch and Glen Cove, New York.

Robert was predeceased by his brother Bruce Smith, sister Sandra Denise Boston-Brown (1959-2001), mother, Mary Frances Scott-Boston (1936-2004) and father Rev. Ernest Lundy Boston (1932-2019), maternal grandparents, Ellen Clay-Scott (1913-2004) and George Scott (1909-circa 1960), paternal grandmother Amelia Roberts, and great nephew Zion Witcher (2018-2019).

He leaves to cherish his precious memories, stepmother Mary Alice Boston; brothers Sterling (Obdulia) Boston, David (Wendy) Boston, Andrew Smith Immanuel Harper, David James Brahmin: sisters, Ernestine Boston, Lola Brahmin, Loretta Hamilton; nieces & nephews, Lashay Boston, Sterling Marquis Boston, Jada Boston, Shekinah (Michael) Witcher, Zoe Boston, Rhema Boston, Chara Boston, Josiah Boston; great nephew Malachi White; great niece Aniyah Witcher; special aunt, Jearlean Wiliams of Grady, Arkansas and a host of cousins and friends.
