Rasaad N. Brown was born on December 6, 1991 to Tasia Brown and Nathaniel Lee. He departed this life peacefully on September 12, 2022. He was born and raised in Albany, NY and was educated in the Albany City School District.
After his schooling he began working at McGeary’s Restaurant and later he also worked for Amazon. As a youth Rasaad was diagnosed with leukemia. Along with his mother Tasia they travelled to Tennessee and Massachusetts through St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital for treatment and the leukemia went into remission. He was also a recipient of the Make A Wish Foundation.
Rasaad enjoyed playing video games and listening to music. One of his favorite singers was Usher.
He also liked to hang out with his friends and his two cousins who were more like his brothers, Khalid and Naquaad. Rasaad was a loving brother to his two sisters, Natasia and Nyanawi as well as a devoted uncle to Noah, Nya and Shakio. He loved his family. His grandfather Louis tells the story of him asking his grandmother Lillie to make him pancakes. She would ask him how many and he would like and would say 5 and ate every last one of them. Rasaad loved to smile. He was always smiling. He had a big beautiful smile that we are going to miss terribly. Rest in peace.
Rasaad leaves to mourn and cherish his memory, his loving mother Tasia, his devoted sisters Natasia and Nyanawi, his precious nephews and niece Noah, Shakio and Nya, his loving cousins Khalid and Naquaad, his beloved grandfather Louis as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and co-workers.
Rasaad is preceded in death by his grandmother Lillie, who he thought made the best macaroni and cheese.
