Quentin Jones

Quentin Jones, 38, who was born on August 2, 1984 in Albany, New York suddenly passed at home and claimed his wings on Monday, October 3, 2022 in Ilion, New York. He was the son of Robert Jones and the late Brenda L. Longmire.

Quentin was educated in the Albany City Schools District. He was employed by Amazon. Quentin was a loving, hardworking, and devoted father. He enjoyed living life to its fullest as a father raising his children along with his partner Samantha of 18 years. He made sure that he never missed a birthday, school event, or recital. Quentin enjoyed outdoor camping, music, traveling, concerts, BBQ’s with family and friends, and special memories with his younger brother Arsenio “Unky”. He also loved playing with Stitch, Lilo, Jonzie, Chewy, and Fiona, his beloved dogs.

He was preceded in death by his mother: Brenda L. Longmire; grandparents: Willie Roy and Margie Longmire and Gracie Jones;  aunts: Earnestine Longmire and Marsha Jones; uncle: Ernest Evans; great- grandparents: Virlena Edmonds and Andrew Edmonds; great uncles: Ernest Longmire, Belove Cook, Luther Dozier, Elbert Dozier, J.T. Cook and Clarkie Everett; great aunts: Louise Everett, Marie Cady, Elise Young, Ida Banks, and Yvonne Cook; special cousins: Haywood Watson Jr., Michelle Longmire and Dawan Johnson. 

Quentin is survived by his three children: Xizavier Jones, Marley Jones, and October Jones, all of Ilion, NY; his loving fiancée: Samantha Streeter of Ilion, NY; his father: Robert Jones of Cohoes, NY; his brother: Arsenio Jones of Albany, NY; his sisters: Dyani Richardson, Ebony Richardson, Latoya Jones, Virlena Longmire, Iesha Longmire, Nyasia Jones, Jamia Noisette, all of Albany, NY; nieces and nephews: Areonia, Jaquez, Nasir, Dymonti, DeShawna, Keemora, Ja'hai, Mikela, Jaderah, Nyree, Miracle, Zaiden, Eilayah, Elias, Elijah, Khadavier, all of Albany, NY; uncles: Elroy Longmire (Kim) and Randy Jones, both of Albany, NY and McCell Longmire (Shelly) of Cohoes, NY; aunts: Vivian Watson (Haywood) and Carleen Longmire, both of Albany, NY;  a great aunt: Mae Alice Davis of Albany, NY; members of Samantha’s family who loved him dearly include her father and mother: John & Maurene Streeter of Ticonderoga, NY; her grandfather: Carl Streeter of Ilion, NY; her brother: Matthew Streeter of Brooklyn, NY; her sister: Bridget Haina of Cadyville, NY;  and a host of cousins, relatives and friends too numerous to name.
