Peggy Ann Meadows, 63, entered Eternal Life on October 10, 2020 after a long illness. She was born in Kinston, N.C. on March 22, 1957 to Isabelle Barker and the late Alphonso H. Meadows, Sr. She was educated in the Albany Public School system. She will be remembered for her generous spirit, humor, and “for keeping it real.” She was baptized at an early age at Trinity Episcopal Church and was a member of the Walls Temple A.M.E. Zion Church where her brother, Alphonso H. Meadows, Jr., is the Pastor. She was blessed with two sons who she dearly loved.
In addition to her father, Peggy was predeceased by her brother, Howard Darden.
She is survived by her beloved sons, Lakime O. Meadows (Joyce) and Derrick Carrington, Jr.; grandchildren, Maya, Miles, Deréon, Damoni and soon to be, Da’Niya; her mother, Isabelle Barker (Gran-Gran); sisters, Carolyn D. Swinson, Maxine Meadows-Shuford (Hank), Mia DiLella (Tony); brothers, Alphonso H. Meadows, Jr. (Vivian) and Jeffrey O. Meadows, Sr. (Vinita); and a host of nieces and nephews.
