Patrick Craig Thomas was born on a summer day in Manhattan, New York, and true to his city roots, he came into this world with spirit, strength, and style. On April 4, 2025, he left us, but not without leaving behind a legacy filled with laughter, love, and a whole lot of unforgettable stories.
Patrick was welcomed into eternity by his loving parents and is survived by his six amazing children: Tyseanna (Darion) of Virginia Beach, VA; Marlayna of California; Craig (Brittany) of Jacksonville, NC; Le’Asia (Aaron) of Gastonia, NC; Vaughn of New York; and Marcell (Ashley) of Charlotte, NC.
He also leaves behind six cherished grandchildren; siblings Hannah, Willie, Ron, and Timmy; his loving partner; and a wide circle of family, friends, and loved ones who will carry his memory with deep affection—and the occasional chuckle.
If you knew Patrick, you know he had a presence you couldn’t miss—he was the one making you laugh, offering a listening ear, or sparking up real conversation when small talk just wouldn’t cut it. He was warm, hilarious, and deeply human, with the rare gift of making everyone feel like they mattered.
He devoted much of his life to working with at-risk youth, and his impact in that space was as genuine as his laugh. He believed in people—especially the ones who needed it most—and he poured love and guidance into every life he touched.
Family was everything to Patrick. He was a proud dad through and through, and he didn’t keep that pride to himself. He wore it openly, like a badge of honor, and never missed a moment to talk about how much his kids meant to him. If you ever crossed paths, odds are you heard about them—probably with a smile on his face and that glimmer in his eye.
Patrick’s family invites loved ones to join his homegoing service, which will be streamed on Saturday, April 12th at 2 PM. Out of respect for the family’s wish for privacy, details will be shared directly—please reach out to his daughters for more information.
Though he’s no longer with us in the way we knew him, Patrick’s laughter, love, and unforgettable spirit live on in every life he touched. He showed us what it means to live with heart—and that’s exactly how he’ll be remembered.
