With hearts full of love, we celebrate the beautiful life of Nyishia Sue Nicole Frazier, a woman whose warmth, kindness, and radiant spirit left an unforgettable mark on everyone she met. Born on November 11, 1975, in New York, New York, to Alicia Sue Arnold and Carlos Frazier Sr., Nyishia lived a life filled with love, laughter, and a deep commitment to those around her. She unexpectedly passed away on January 25, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love that will never be forgotten.

She attended Sacred Heart school in Dobbs Ferry, Sacred Heart High School in Yonkers, NY, Holmes High School in San Antonio, Texas, and the University of Albany. Nyishia’s love for the arts began early, as she was a ballerina at Ballet Hispánico's School of Dance in New York, New York, where she showcased both her dedication and creativity. She later dedicated her career to serving others, touching the lives of many through her work at Brighter Choice Charter School for Boys and Girls and at Albany Med in Albany, NY.

Maya Angelou once said, "People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." Nyishia’s life was a reflection of these words. She had an incredible ability to make people feel seen, valued, and loved. Whether through a warm smile, an encouraging word, or simply being there when someone needed her most, she uplifted those around her. Her light shined in every space she entered, and her kindness left lasting impressions on all who knew her.

Nyishia’s love for family was immeasurable. She cherished the deep bonds that connected her to those she loved, and her family was the center of her world. As a devoted and loving mother to her daughter, Janaisha Evelyn Curet, Nyishia was faithful in her dedication. She instilled in her a strong sense of family, resilience, and compassion. She led by example, always ensuring her daughter knew how important family support and love is. Her commitment to her family was clear in everything she did. She was also a loving and dedicated owner to her two beloved dogs Bentley and Bailey, who brought her much joy and companionship. Her affection for them was yet another expression of the deep love she gave to all in her life.

She is lovingly remembered by her mother, Alicia Sue Arnold; father, Carlos Frazier Sr.; daughter, Janaisha Evelyn Curet; siblings, Carlos Frazier Jr., Tiffany A.R. Frazier, and Elijah D.I. Arnold; step father, Dale I Arnold , her nephew Myles M.C Frazier, aunts, Shirley and Delores; uncles, William and Maurice; Janaisha’s father Jose Curet and a host of cherished cousins, extended family, and lifelong friends.

Nyishia’s love, joy, and kindness will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her. Though she is no longer physically with us, her spirit was shaped by both her faith and compassionate nature. Nyishia will forever remain a guiding light in our lives.
