Michelle Sutton, age 59, departed this life on September 26, 2021. Michelle battled breast cancer, but it would be wrong to say she lost her battle because she never stopped fighting. No matter how sick she was, she stayed strong and always gave out the best hugs. Through her we know what resilience and perseverance truly look like. Her spirit and joy of life kept her pushing through the pain.
Michelle was born September 14, 1962, Bronx, NY. She married her love, William Q. Sutton, in Queens, NY in 1983 and they shared 38 years of marriage. She was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Before becoming a stay- at-home mom, she worked as a bus driver in Suffolk, New York.
Michelle loved having a good time and making new friends. She was a natural in designer hair braiding, often wishing her hands could keep up with the many styles she had in her head. She also shared her love of food. Some of her favorite dishes were macaroni & cheese, oxtail, rice, and desserts...especially strawberry shortcake.
Michelle is survived by her husband, William Sutton, her four sons, Dorsey White, Henry White, William Sutton, Jr., Daquan Sutton, two daughters, Stephanie L. Sutton, and Tia L. Sutton, 14 grandchildren, 3 sisters, 1 brother, and a host of family and friends. All of whom she loved and touched deeply. She was affiliated with New Hope Baptist church, which was near & dear to her heart.
Michelle was predeceased by her parents Vivian Ann Williams and Dorsey Gene White and her beloved son, Desmond T. Sutton
