Maryann McKnight was born on June 24, 1964 to the late Rev Clemor McKnight St. and the Late Rose M. McKnight. She was the 12th of 13 children. She lived in Albany all her life.
Maryann was educated in the Albany School System. She attended BOCES for LPN. She was a certified Nurses Assistant. She worked in the Health Care Field for many years. She worked for R.S.S. Rehabilitated Supportive Services. She was the Residence Council. She worked for the State doing Data Entry. She was also a founding member of Elijah Missionary Baptist Church.
She was the glue that held her family together. If you knew her, you knew she didn’t play about her kids or grandkids. She was always taking care of others. She feed everybody whether she knew you or not. Maryann was the type of person you can go to for anything. She helped raise a lot of kids. Some of her nieces use to call her Mad Mary. Because she was no joke. Shorty didn’t play.
Maryann will truly be missed and her memory will live on through her children. Her loving son Mazene(Isharah Scott) Lacy. Her daughters Constance Miles, Classie Miles, and Octavia Miles.Her God Son Ja’sir and her grand children. JuQuaviah Miles, Saquan Johns, David Miles, Tajimere Miles, James Stokes, Devere Williams Jr. Satin McKnight, Serenity McKnight, Devenity Williams, Mazon McKnight, Ma’zai Murry and Fazon Davids. Her only Great Grandson. Jeremiah Canates Johns. She is also Survived by her siblings. Clemor McKnight Jr. Chadrick McKnight, Adelaide Downs, Wayne McKnight, Eugene Downs, Prentide Sharpe, Angolina Brown and her Baby Sister Verna Janeen McKnight. And her brother in law Rodney Miles. And a host of nieces and nephew. And her special friend Justin Bolden. She was preceded in death by her father Rev. Clemor McKnight Sr. , her mother Rose M. McKnight. Her life long partner whom she loved with all her heart Paul (Watts) Miles. Her siblings Lela McKnight, Robert McKnight, Vernon McKnight, Gwendolyn McKnight (Cookie), Gerald Downs(Tony). Her very special friend Cincere Guerrier.
