On January 5, 2023, Margaret Lee departed this life at Ellis Hospital after a long illness.
Margaret, affectionately known as Sissy, was born on February 7, 1944 In Albany, NY to the late Rose Henderson Lee Campbell and Fred Lee. She was educated through the Albany Public School System.
Margaret retired from Baptist Retirement where she worked as a CNA for over 30 years. She truly enjoyed taking care of others. She was a long time resident of Albany, NY (Delaware St) in her earlier years and then moved to Schenectady in 1977. Sissy loved the casino and she will be dearly missed by all who knew her.’
Predeceasing her death are brothers, Joe, Fred, Larry, Johnny, Jerry. Robert and Kenneth Lee, sisters Fredell and Rosemarie Lee, her mother Rose Marie Henderson Lee Campbell and father Fred Lee.
Margaret leaves to cherish her memory, life long companion Alger Scott, Sr, her children Latyonia Lee, Larry Lee, Theresa Parish, Crystal Charles and Shaylene Scott all of Schenectady, NY. Stepmother to Jackie Mott, Alger Scott II, Christopher Maddox, Algeta, Rotisha, Algena, Alger Scott III, Katrina and William Scott of Schenectady, NY.
Sisters Emily Lee-Beasley of Albany, NY, Essie Lee and Patricia Lee both of Albany, NY and brother Eric Henderson of Albany, sisters-in-law Charmell, Mary Lee, Barbara Ham ’and a host of nieces, nephews, grand children, great grandchildren and friends.
Funeral services to be held on Thursday, January 12, 2023 at S L Mclaughlin Funeral Home, 1226 Broadway, Menands, NY 12204. Viewing will be from 10:00-11:00 am, service immediately following. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery, 2150 Central Avenue, Schenectady, NY 12304. Family will receive callers at Urban Vision Banquet Hall, 1343 Albany St, Schenectady, NY 12304.
