Makayla Patrice Wilson, born on July 3, 1997, in Sumter, South Carolina,ascended on December 5, 2024, in Albany, New York. She leaves behind a legacy of strength, beauty, and kindness that touched all who knew her.
Makayla was the beloved daughter of Malcolm and Patricia Wilson and the cherished goddaughter of Genovia Williams. She is survived by her devoted siblings, Tameka L. Newman (Antwan) and MaTrese L. Grant (Collin), loving nieces and nephews along with a large extended family and numerous friends who will forever hold her in their hearts.
A woman of remarkable talents and ambitions, Makayla graduated from Kenneth Schuler with a cosmetology license, showcasing her passion for beauty and fashion. Her pursuit of knowledge led her to complete a phlebotomy certification in New York, and she had recently embarked on a new academic journey at Bryant & Stratton College, completing her first semester in Medical Administration.
Makayla was best known for her vibrant fashion sense and her unwavering integrity. Her intelligence and kindness were evident in every interaction, leaving a lasting impression on everyone she met. She was a true diva in the best sense of the word, exuding confidence and grace in all aspects of her life.
Though her time with us was far too short, Makayla's spirit will continue to inspire those who knew her. Her family and friends take comfort in the memories of her laughter, her love, and her indomitable spirit.
Makayla Patrice Wilson will be deeply missed but never forgotten, as she watches over her loved ones with peace and power.
