Loretta Bannerman

Loretta Bannerman entered eternal rest at the age of 69 on Tuesday, January 24, 2023, at Albany Medical Center in Albany, NY. She was born October 18, 1953, in Bronx, NY to the late Flora Robinson. She was married to the late Ensign (Homer) Bland Jr., and was surrounded by her beautiful, loving children, Corrine, Sam, and Sara Bland, and adored by her four grandchildren, Angelina, James III, and Adalynn Spooner, and Ace Bland. She is also beloved by her favorite cousin Carol Jackson and family, as well as many more cousins.                                       

Loretta grew up in the Bronx and moved to Albany, NY until her death. She attended Hudson Valley Community College where she graduated with her Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) license in 1975, where she also completed her Substance Abuse Counselor certification in 1993. Loretta became an ordained Minister of the New Covenant Christian Fellowship in Albany, NY, while shepherded by Pastors Donald and Rose Stewart in 2005.

Loretta loved to tell jokes and dance with her grandchildren. Loretta will be Memorialized on February 04, 2023, at 12 noon at New Covenant Christian Fellowship at 365 Clinton Avenue, Albany, NY 12206. Please send Flowers and/or donations to New Covenant Christian Fellowship.
