Kyron Michael Mack

On April 22, 2020 Kyron Michael Mack, affectionately known as Ron and Ky, peacefully transitioned after bravely fighting through unforeseen complications after heart surgery. 

Kyron joyfully entered this life to much love on October 22, 1972 to Detra Mitchell and the late Henry Mack in Bronx, NY. He received much of his formal education in New York and attended Rockland Community College, the College of St. Joseph and completed his degree in Human Services at HVCC.  However, his most cherished achievement was receiving his Bachelors in Theology.

In 2002 Kyron met the love of his life, his wife Colette, they have enjoyed 18 years of friendship, laughter and have enjoyed many travels together. In 2010 they shared in a trip of a lifetime, travelling with Oprah’s ultimate viewers to Australia where they renewed their wedding vows. Kyron loved and lived in every moment, he climbed the Sydney bridge, hot air ballooned and soaked up every experience. He was loved by all that met him. One of his most gratifying moments was going to the African American Museum in Washington, DC and finding his picture on the Oprah wall, forever encapsulated, as a memorial of an unforgettable time and adventure.

Kyron was an incredible people person with a terrific sense of humor. He loved people and people loved him. He always had a smile on his face, a swagger to his steps, a positive attitude and a word of encouragement to share. One of his greatest joys was sharing his love for God everywhere he went. He loved every church he was a member of, his Pastors, and his church family, especially the brothers he got to meet along the way. Kyron was employed at Quad Graphics in Saratoga for almost 20 years, he enjoyed the people he got to meet and work with.  He especially enjoyed training others and sharing from his expertise. Seeing someone flourish in their job gave him great joy. Kyron also loved his work at ALG. He was passionate about his work with his clients, and it filled his life with meaning, purpose and was one of his greatest joys!

He leaves to cherish his memories an incredible family: His mother Detra Mitchell (whom he greatly loved and adored). His wife, Colette; His Pop, Jimmy Mitchell; His aunts: Marietta, Jeri and Tawana; His uncles: Winston and Eddie; His sisters: Dawn, Rana and Dena; His cousin and little sister: Algernee; His nephews: Kasey, Desmond, Ian, David, Hosea and Micah; His nieces: Lateisha and Eva; His mother in law, father in law, and a host of cousins, relatives, and dearest friends. Kyron will be dearly missed.
