Kathelyn Cain received her boarding ticket for that glory train on January 19th, 2023. The Lord came to receive this servant Kathelyn Cain affectionately called "Kat." She was born on December 26th, 1955 in Mayesville, SC. Kat came to Albany, NY when she was a baby. She was the eldest of eight children born to the late George N. Cain, Sr. and Oneather Cain (Joe).
Kat attended school in the Albany City School District. She worked in the service and hospitality field throughout her life and retired from the Hampton Inn (Downtown) in the Fall of 2022.
Kat loved her family and especially family functions. They were precious times for her, Kat knew how to have a good time and she was the life of the party. She wouldn't hesitate to tell you how she felt about you and anybody else. She spoke what was on her mind and meant it. Whenever you were in Kat's presence she always had a good story to tell and laugh that you could never forget. She will be missed dearly.
Kat leaves to cherish her three children Alnida Morris, Lanique (Tamika) Morris, Shaineef Cain, her four grandchildren Shyerra Morris, Malcolm Cobb, Shaquanda Cobb, and Anari Goodson; her siblings George, Harry (Telisa), Sheena, Joyce, Louise and Jocelyn (Andre) Moore; followed by a host of nieces, nephews, godchildren, and friends.
