Juanita Nabors was born on November 16, 1936, in Meridian, Mississippi, to the late Tempie Hinkle McCann and Reverend Willie McCann. The family relocated to Albany, New York, when Juanita was an infant. They settled in the South End of Albany, followed by their migration to the now State and Federal Historic District on Rapp Road in Albany during the forties. She resided on Rapp Road at the time of her passing. She is survived by her children, Elder Archie (Nicole) McQueen, Deaconess Donna (Deacon Anthony) Cook, Sonya Nabors, and Barnard Nabors. Twelve Grandchildren: Mignonette Monique Crowson, LaJuan McQueen-Grimsley (Curtis), Adia McQueen, Archie W.C. McQueen, Julius McQueen, Marcus Cook, LaToya McQueen-Jackson (Matthew), Wade Coleman Jr., Joseph McQueen (Shedaya), Juan McQueen, Rikeime McQueen, Antoine Dolly, 27 Great Grandchildren, and 5 Great, Great Grandchildren. Her God Children, Karen Dees and Tiffany Adams. Juanita’s gift of faith, strength, and love will live on through the family and the lives she touched.
