Joylette Y. Wimbush of Albany, New York passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, August 22, 2020. Joylette, who was the oldest of three children, was born May 1, 1940 to the late Thelma Wood and Hugo Owen in South Boston, Virginia.
Joylette relocated to the state of New Jersey at an early age and later relocated to Albany, New York where she met and married Frank Wimbush.
Joylette is predeceased her parents, a sister and her husband.
She leaves to mourn her passing, her children: sons, Lionel Chalmers (Renee), Keith Wimbush (Kathy) and Byron Wimbush, daughter, Shaun Wimbush, sister, Linda Lewis of Rochester, New York, aunt/sister/best friend, Margaret Headspeth of Albany, New York, grandchildren, Lakesia Chalmers-Randolph, Lionel Chalmers, II, Tryman Sellers, Keith Colvin, Teaira Colvin, LaKeisha Sinclair and Chazvaughn Kirnon, 9 great-grandchildren, niece, Sheretha Arrington, nephews, James, Jr, Mark & Jay Wilkerson, special long-time friend, Clarrissia Meaux, and a host of cousins, other family and friends.
