Josephine Noisette Traynham was born on October 6, 1932, in Albany, N.Y. to the late John Sr. and Queenie Noisette. Out of their union three children were conceived: John Jr., Barbara, and Josephine. Josephine was a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend. She was a solid fixture on Myrtle Avenue where she lived since birth. She was a role model and an example to her family and community.
Josephine worked at Quail Laundry where she met many of her lifelong friends. After receiving her GED, she attended Hudson Valley Community College where she pursued a degree in Computer Science. Josephine’s passion for aiding and assisting led her to a job at Whitney Young Health Center where she became the head of medical records until she retired. She was also a member of the Elks-Loyal Temple #148.
Josephine was a sweet and caring soul who had the biggest heart. Her mission in life was to help people, whether providing advice or aiding someone in need. She dedicated her life to ensuring that her family was always well taken care of. She loved cooking, hosted countless family gatherings, and enjoyed traveling.
Josephine is preceded in death by her husband Charlie Traynham; Siblings – Barbara Noisette Jackson, John Joseph Noisette; Son – James Noisette: nephew - John Gilbert. Left to cherish her memories: Daughter – Yvonne Noisette; Son – John Noisette: 5 Grandchildren; Celeste Noisette Jones (Arthur), Brent Noisette (Shellie), Jamal Noisette, Ja Mia Noisette, Raymond Jacoub; 5 Great-grandchildren – Arthur Jones Jr., Reece Jones, Chanel Noisette, Kha Davier Farmer, Madison Noisette; Nieces and Nephews; Linda, Diane, Joanne, Howard, Leonard, El-Wise, Marcus and many cousins and friends. She will be deeply missed.
