John “Johnny” Welcome Jr.

John “Johnny” Welcome Jr. was born on September 15th, 1986 to his beloved mother, Patricia (Perkins) Welcome and father, John Welcome Sr, both of Albany, New York.
Johnny grew up in Albany, New York, where he attended Albany City School District schools. He received his GED and continued his education by enrolling in EOC at Hudson Valley where he completed and received a certificate in the construction trade. He briefly worked in construction, at Albany Steel and was currently employed at Schuyler Inn where he worked as security. Johnny was a devoted father, husband, son, brother, uncle, and friend.
Johnny was loved by many, he was known for always greeting you with a smile. He got along with everybody and loved his friends and family and would do anything for them. He enjoyed partying, laughing, trash talking all in the name of laughs and jokes. He enjoyed taking risk at life, even down to the dice. He enjoyed learning and teaching and excelled at anything he put his mind to. He was the life of the party and will be truly missed.
Johnny departed on November 21, 2021. He leaves behind to cherish his memory: his mother Patricia (Perkins) Welcome, his father John Welcome Sr, wife Tykeia Robinson-Welcome, mother in law Deborah Landy, father in law Charles (Omar) Robinson, brother in law History Robinson, daughter Jon’Neasia Welcome, unborn son, granddaughter Ah’Nasia Hay, grandmother Mary Perkins, sister Meisha Welcome, nephew Jamal Bell Jr., loving niece Treasure Goddard, aunts and uncles Peggy Welch, Sabrina Young, Carolyn Frame, Sharon Welcome-Gomez, Joanne, Omar, Charles (Ak), Edward, and Michael Welcome. Best friend since childhood Quintasia Perry, his loving dog Aries and a host of cousins, friends and godchildren.
Johnny was preceded by his grandparents, Thomas Perkins, Edward Welcome, and Idabelle Welcome, aunt Babette Fiddemon, aunt Thomasine Gross, uncle Percy Welcome, brother in law Taron Robinson and a host of friends including close friend Iquan Carter and Ahmad Fleming.
