Dr. Jeanette Thornton was a Doctor of Education and Medicine. Ed.D.,M.D.

A memorial service is planned for a later date at the discretion of the family. In lieu of flowers a note of condolence is preferred. A tax deductible contribution can also be made to Globesity Inc., Dr. Thornton's not for profit company for the prevention and treatment of obesity and related diseases that are common in the African American, African diaspora, Latinx and Native American communities.
