Jean Winifred Rowe

Jean Rowe, 49 of Catskill, NY passed unexpectedly March 18, 2019.

She is survived by her husband of 26 years Steven Rowe; her children Shain, Ethan and Victoria; her mother Judith Haase; two siblings Faith and George; many nieces, nephews and friends. Jean is predeceased by her father, Henry Hasse and her brother, Paul.

A registered nurse for 20 years, Jean devoted her work to supporting women through pregnancy and birth, working many years at Albany Medical Center and Columbia Memorial Hospital in Labor/ Delivery and Postpartum. Jean accomplished her dream of becoming a Nurse-Midwife in 2017, receiving her Master’s in Nursing from SUNY Stony Brook. She recently practiced midwifery in Irvine, CA, then returned to Catskill as a midwife at Columbia Memorial Hospital. Jean was also a talented artist and an excellent baker.

Most importantly, Jean loved her family and friends with all her heart. She loved to have gatherings at her home, playing games, trying new recipes, laughing and celebrating life’s milestones big and small. Jean will be remembered for her adventurous, giving spirit, her laugh, and her big heart.

A celebration of life service will be held Saturday March 30, 2019 at the Community Life Church 20 West Main St., Catskill from 5-6:30pm
