Jah-Sier Tucker Obituary

Jah-Sier Naquel “Juju” Tucker, age 28, of Troy, New York, transitioned from this life on January 5, 2026. He was born on August 14, 1997, in Albany, New York.

Jah-Sier, affectionately known as Juju, was a radiant soul whose life was defined by authenticity, courage, and love. From a young age, his passion for self-expression and creativity shone brightly, naturally drawing him into spaces where individuality, belonging, and community were celebrated. As a teenager, Juju found his home within the House Ballroom community, where his confidence, style, and leadership began to flourish.

Juju’s passion grew into purpose through his work with In Our Own Voices (IOOV). He first served as a volunteer and later as a Peer Advocate, where he dedicated himself to uplifting young men through mentorship, support groups, outreach, and community engagement. He also lent his voice and talent to public awareness and advocacy efforts, including LGBTQ+ anti-violence and health equity campaigns, always leading with intention, compassion, and heart.

Within the Ballroom community, Juju’s legacy was profound. He served as Father of the House of Rahken and later became a proud member of the House of Mizrahi. In these roles, he was a mentor, leader, and source of love to many. Known for his compassion, creativity, vibrant energy, and unmistakable style, Juju had a gift for uplifting others and creating space for them to shine.

Above all, Juju loved deeply. He was a devoted son, brother, and friend, and he proudly embraced the role of parent to his furry babies, Ashley (dog) and Mary Jane (cat), whom he cherished dearly. He was known for his humor and favorite playful sayings, often calling others “raggedy,” “Chile,” or “bald head”, words that now echo as reminders of his joy and laughter.

Jah-Sier is survived by his loving mother, Tarshea Tucker-Coles, and his stepfather, Elrheen Coles; his siblings, Jah-meer Tucker, Jah-sief Tucker (twin), Akiya Glass, Franklin Glass Jr., Aaliyah Glass, Amazjee Glass, and Amazjanay Glass; along with a host of extended family, chosen family, and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his beloved sister, Akira Glass.

Juju loved his family, his friends, and his community wholeheartedly. Even through pain, he laughed, he loved, and he gave light. In every sense, Juju was, and will always, be a star. His legacy lives on in the lives he changed, the love he shared, and the community he helped strengthen.
