Jade E. Hardy

Jade Elizabeth Hardy, infant daughter of James and Nikita (Bowen) Hardy, passed away on Sunday, June 26, 2022, peacefully on her mother’s chest and father’s arms at Albany Medical Center in Albany, NY. Her family was able to spend precious minutes with their beautiful and perfect baby girl.

Besides her parents, Jade was also welcomed into this world by her two sisters, Samantha Hardy and Megan Hardy, maternal grandmother Marilyn Brimfield of Brooklyn, NY, paternal grandparents Marva (Service) Hardy of Bronx, NY, James E. Hardy of Bronx, NY, maternal great-grandmother, Annie Margaret (Brimfield) Pondexter. She is also survived by five aunts and uncles, Kimberly (Bowen) Melhado (Kadeem) of Brooklyn, NY, Ivana Bannister of Atlanta, GA, Latoya Adams of Bronx, NY, Amanda Bowen of Orlando, FL, Jamal Bowen along with a host of great aunts uncles, cousins, bonus aunties, other relatives and friends. 

She was preceded in death by her grandfather Richard Bowen, great maternal grandmother Sheila M. (Anthony) Bowen, great paternal grandfather Christopher Bowen, great maternal grandfather Solomon Jones Jr., great paternal grandmother Lena Mae Hardy and great-great maternal grandmother Albirtha (Harley) Jones. 

From the moment Jade was expected, she captured the hearts of her family. She was a beautiful baby girl who touched the lives of so many in such of brief time.  She will lovingly be remembered forever in the hearts of her family.

A Private memorial service will be held in celebration of Jade’s life on Thursday, July 14, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Saint Kateri Tekakwitha Parish in Niskayuna, NY. 

The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to Albany Medical Center’s staff for taking great care of our family during this unfathomable time.
