Jacqueline Arroyo

Jacqueline Arroyo, also known as “Miss Piggy”, was born August 10th 1964 in Manati’ Puerto Rico to Sonia Sierra.

In her youth, she worked as a bartender, a housekeeper and a store attendant. Jacqueline received her GED in November 2014, passing with flying colors. Jacqueline was extremely proud of her vocational accomplishments. She completed courses in carpentry, facility and building maintenance, repairs and installation of drywall and ceiling fixtures, paint taping, masonry, floor care, and roofing. Even in her time of incarceration, she was a light to women who were incarcerated. Fellow inmates considered her to be their “mother” because she guided and gave them wisdom during their most trying time in life.

She is survived by her mother, Sonia Sierra; her children, Rafael Arroyo, Sonia Arroyo, Steven Jones, and Christine Jones; her siblings, Edgar Arroyo, Brenda Arroyo; her uncles Hector Lewis and Freddy Cruz; aunts Carmen Sierra and Litta Sierra; and seven grandchildren, with two more on the way.

She will be met at the Gates by a handful of loved ones; her son Stephon Jones, her uncle, Gregory Sierra, her brother, Archie Arroyo, and her sister, Caroline Arroyo.
