Herman Thomas III, fondly known as “Trey” was born on April 6, 1996 in Albany, New York. Trey, from a young age excelled in all athletic avenues including basketball, football, and most passionately, baseball. He was an intelligent, sensitive, boisterous, comical, and lovable young man. He graduated High School from Green Tech in Albany NY, and furthered his education at American International College (Springfield MA) receiving his bachelor’s in Sports Management , and Grand Canyon University ,receiving his Master’s in Early Childhood Education, with a goal to be a gym teacher.
He was active in many baseball leagues in which he also received many awards and accolades, including National Little League, Albany American Little League, Babe Ruth, D2 American International College (Yellowjackets), Albany Senators, Schenectady Blue Jays, Albany Twilight League and also managed his own team the Albany Ballers in 2020 . In Spring of 2021 he opened a baseball facility in Albany, NY Trey’s House of Baseball , to nurture and train young aspiring baseball and softball players to become college level athletes. This project held so dear that him that he wanted to also outsource in other cities and set out to do that right before his passing. He leaves behind parents Herman Thomas Jr. and Grace Thomas, siblings Bianca, Mariah, Dante,Deja, Grandmothers Grace C Brown , Lillia Mae Thomas , and many aunts, uncles,cousins, family, friends, students, players, and a legacy that held promise to greatness.
