Herman James Bevelle, III

Herman James Bevelle lll of Queens, NY entered God’s kingdom on May 28th, 2023. Herman suffered a pulmonary embolism 9 months earlier.  He was fifty-six years old.  His family is deeply saddened by his death.  

Herman was born on December 3rd , 1966 to Brenda Allen Mason and Herman James Bevelle II in Queens, NY. His parents moved to Queens, NY from Harlem, NY in the early 60’s to provide a better life for Herman and his siblings. In his childhood, Herman was energetic and athletically gifted.  Herman became a nationally ranked baseball player and boxer. He attended Nassau Community College.

Herman, a charismatic son, husband, partner, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle is survived by his father, Herman II; ex-wife, Malinda; partner, Nora; twin daughters, Taejah and Tatyanna; twin sons, Kolel and Jarell; youngest daughter, Zoe; grandson Zion and a host of nieces and nephews.  

Herman is also survived by his sisters Lorraine, Glenda, Iman, Rosheeka, Tanzania and brothers Gregory, Damien, Shawn, Rasheed, Jamal, and Hakeem.

Herman is preceded in death by his mother, Brenda Allen Mason; stepfather Ashmead Mason; grandmothers, Mary Bevelle and Virginia Allen Watson; grandfathers, Herman Bevelle Sr., and Frank Allen and Uncle Frank.

Herman was caring, loyal and brave. He had an enormous heart and a wonderful sense of humor. He was clever and full to the brim with knowledge gained through his life experiences. Herman will be remembered for all the heart he shared with his friends and family. He will be missed dearly.
