Hazel Swindell Obituary
Hazel Ruth Swindell, was called home on Sunday, June
27, 2021 at the Albany Medical Center, Albany NY.
Hazel Ruth was born on December 25, 1937, in
Leechville, NC to Annie Mae Green and George Clark. At
a young age, she relocated to Albany NY and later moved
to New York City to marry and raise her children.
Hazel Ruth modeled and was a youth counselor in her
younger days with most of her life dedicated to her
husband and family. Hazel Ruth occasionally attended the
United Ordained Church, Troy, New York.
Hazel Ruth enjoyed cooking large meals for the holidays,
spending time with family and listening to gospel music.
Hazel Ruth is survived by her daughters and sons; Karen
Swindell, Renee Swindell, Janis Swindell, Calvin Swindell,
Vivera Dowtin Swindell, Gregory Swindell; her brothers
Marvin Clark, Melvin Clark, Sharvon Boyd and her sister
Jacqueline Ponds. She has 24 grandchildren, 49 great
grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren; as well as
her uncle Mack Slade (Callie); nieces, nephews and
cousins.
She is preceded in death by her husband George
Swindell, her mother Annie Mae Tucker, her father
George Clark, her daughter Joanna Womack and son
Kennedy Swindell.
