Haywood A. Watson, Jr.

 

 

Haywood A. Watson, Jr.  who was lovingly and affectionately called “Junebug” was born on October 21, 1969 in Albany, New York. He claimed his wings to be with Jesus on Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at Albany Medical Center in Albany, New York. He was the oldest child born to Haywood A. Watson, Sr. and Vivian Longmire Watson. 

Haywood was a graduate at the Center for the Disabled in Albany, New York. He enjoyed family, traveling, and music. Although he was in a convalescent state for over fifty years, he delighted in hearing voices and having someone sing, touch, or tickle him.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents: Willie Roy Longmire and Margie Longmire; paternal grandparents: Marion and Mary Watson; maternal aunts: Earnestine Longmire and Brenda Longmire; paternal aunts: Dorothy Davis and Roberta Watson; uncle: Ernest Evans; great uncles: Ernest Longmire, Belove Cook, Luther Dozier, Elbert Dozier, J.T. Cook, Clarkie Everett; great aunts: Louise Everett, Marie Cady, Elise Young, Ida Banks, Yvonne Cook, Viola Watson-Boyd and special cousins: Michelle Longmire and Dawan Johnson. 

In addition to his parents, others who will forever cherish his sweet memories include a brother:  James Antoine Privett (Margo) of Warrenton, NC; three sisters: LaMonda Watson, Haywanda Watson, and Erica Watson, all of Albany, NY; nieces: A’Montay Giddings-Watson of Albany, NY; LaTasha Fisher and LaTela Privett, both of Warrenton, NC; nephew: Haywood Williams-Watson of Albany, NY; great-niece: Legacy Privett; godbrother: Kale Johnson; godsister: Jackie Willingham-Jones; uncles: Elroy Longmire of Albany, NY and McCell Longmire           (Shelly) of Cohoes, NY; aunts: Carleen Longmire, Mildred Lindsay, and Mary Shark, all of Albany, NY; Emma Watson of Washington, DC; Eleanor B. Watson of Bronx, NY; Viola Bullock (John Clifton) and Florine Davis of Raleigh, NC, a great aunt:  Mae Alice Davis of Albany, NY; and a host of cousins, relatives and friends too numerous to name.
