It is with deep love and sorrow that we announce the passing of Gloreen E. McIntosh, 74, of Albany, New York who peacefully entered into eternal rest on April 30, 2026.
Gloreen was born on June 30, 1951, on Whymis Road in St. James, Jamaica to the late Daphne Morris and Johnathan McIntosh. She was the second of six siblings: Danny, David, Geraldine, Paulette, and Annette. She is preceded in death by her siblings Danny and Annette, leaving David, Geraldine, and Paulette to cherish her memory.
Above all, Gloreen was a devoted and loving mother whose greatest joy was her family. She leaves behind her cherished children Debbie, Cliff, Kaye, and Taniel, who were truly the pride and joy of her life. She was also a proud grandmother to 12 grandchildren Jason Julianna, Brianna, Anthony, Bryson, Michael Jr., William, Desiree, Gabriella and Veronica and a loving great-grandmother to 4. She is preceded in death by her grandson, William Oates, whom she held close to her heart.
She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends whose lives she’s touched throughout the years.
Gloreen will be remembered for her strength, warmth, kindness, and the love she shared so freely with those around her. Her presence brought comfort and laughter to many, and her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Funeral services for Gloreen E. McIntosh will be held at S.L. McLaughlin Funeral Home on May 15, 2026, at 10:00 AM.
Family and friends are warmly invited to attend and pay their respects as we celebrate Gloreen’s life and legacy.
