Frankie Mae Nelson was granted her angel wings on August 9th 2024 after a long battle with illness. Her final days were spent with family.
Frankie Mae was born on September 9th, 1933, in Kingstree South Carolina, to the late Flora White. Frankie Mae was educated in the Williamsburg County and Albany City School districts. She was a dedicated employee at the Child’s Hospital where she retired after 20yrs. of service.
Frankie Mae was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She loved cooking and reading novels but she especially loved reading her bible.
Frankie Mae is predeceased by her loving husband Johnson Nelson; Son Joseph E Nelson; and Sister Johnnie Mae Hardy. Survived by her loving daughter Felicia Nelson; Grandchildren, Joseph JoRoy Nelson; Fatimah Shepard; and Q’ubilah Sales. Brother William Henry Wilson, and Great grandchildren Laizhya and Jasyi Nelson. Frankie Mae also excitedly awaited the arrival of her third great grandchild, but God called her home to greet and guide this little one’s passage into our family . She will be deeply missed by family, friends, and all her knew her well.
