Obituary
On January 24, 2026, Eric “Lee” Henderson departed this life at Troy Victorian Nursing Home after a long illness.
Eric was born on November 27,1957 to the late Rose Henderson Lee Campbell and James Bryant. Raised in Albany, NY, Eric made many connections with people and formed familial relationships with some. One such connection, with the late Roslyn Cook, resulted in a son. Eric cherished the relationship he shared with his only child and considered him to be his best friend.
Eric had a beautiful smile that was on display when doing the things he enjoyed most, such as playing cards with his family and spending time with close friends. Eric was known to be funny, resourceful and dependable. He was the person many of his friends called on for assistance with moving, building, repairing or assembling things. He was skilled, knowledgeable, thoughtful and caring. A few things you could count on, when Eric was around, was a helping hand, a fun time and a good laugh.
Eric leaves to cherish his memory, his son Eric Tasjon Lee, two grandchildren, sisters; Emily Lee- Beasley of Jonesboro, GA, Essie Lee (Lewis) and Patricia Lee of Albany, Syrentha “Rent” Bryant of Schenectady and Brenda Bryant of California; brothers Lee Andrew and Octavia Bryant of Albany; special niece Rosetta Dale, special nephews, Anthony Lee and Lewis Foster (aka June Bug) and a host of other nieces, nephews and friends. Eric was predeceased by brothers Joe, Fred, Larry, John, Jerry, Robert, Kenneth Lee and sisters Fredell, Rosemarie and Margaret Lee.
Memorial service to be held on Monday, February 9, 2026 at Walls Temple A.M.E. Zion Church, 27 Delaware St, Albany, NY 12202. Service will begin at noon. Repass immediately following at the church.
