Ella Robinson

Mother Ella C. Robinson, 94 years old, departed this life at home on June 16, 2020.She was born a twin August 16, 1925 to the late Mr. and Mrs. Perry and Viola Campbell in Sylvester, GA and raised in Doerun, GA.  As a teenager, she and her twin, Della, served as faithful ushers in Pilco Baptist Church in Moultrie, GA. She was a chosen delegate to represent her church at a State Convention.

 

At the age of 29, she received the gift of the Holy Spirit at the Church of God in Christ (COGIC) in Moultrie. She later became a faithful member of Triumph the

Church Kingdom of God and Christ, serving as a licensed missionary and president of the young people education band in Moultrie.

In 1971, she moved to Albany, NY and attended the Church of Jesus Christ, Holy Deliverance COGIC and finally became a planted member of Church of God in

Albany, NY, serving 40 years under the leadership of Pastor Joell, Bishop Young, and Bishop Dudley.  Her legacy as a church member and church mother is that “she would try do anything you asked her to do, fervently and willingly; always present and never a slackard.”

 

Mother Robinson is well known for her cakes and pies. She was also a very skilled worker: a licensed day care owner, a cook, a seamstress, and a certified nurse’s

aide.

 

She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Robinson, her three brothers, and seven sisters as well as one grandson. She is the mother of five children, predeceased

by three of them, Reva Reese, Martin Robinson, and Pastor Mackey Robinson, Sr.  She leaves behind to mourn her daughters, Alma Jones, Virginia Beach, VA

and Mother Sarah Fowler, Colonie, NY and twin sister, Della Pittman, Jonesboro, GA. She also leaves to mourn 9 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 4 great great

grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews, and God-given son & daughter-in-law, Charles & Doretha Stone, Miami, FL.
