Earlie Dawson, affectionately known as "JR," was born in Vanceboro, NC, on April 22, 1956, to the late Lossie and Earlie Dawson, Sr.
Earlie Dawson, 70, departed this world suddenly on June 27, 2026. Earlie was a young child when he moved to Albany, NY with his family. He attended Albany Public Schools, and graduated from Albany High School.
Earlie had various jobs throughout the decades including working at The Center for the Disabled and Dimension Fabricators in Schenectady, NY.
Earlie enjoyed listening to music and having a good conversation with his friends and family. He was a kind, loving, generous person who loved to make people laugh. Earlie loved his family deeply and will be missed by all.
He leaves to cherish his memory his Son: Titus Dawson (Tamara) of Albany, NY.; Sisters: Gloria Dawson-Ballou (Albany, NY), Yvonne Harris (Albany, NY), Sharon Harris (Clinton, MD) and Ernestein Dawson (Washington, NC); Brothers: Earvin Dawson (Albany, NY), Curtis Harris (Alexandria, VA), and Bobby Earl Dawson & his wife (Washington, NC); his loving grandchildren: Keyonce Lewis (Tampa, FL) and Zaniah Carraway (Albany, NY). Earlie also leaves his best friend of many years, Rodney Anderson, to cherish his memory.
In addition to those mentioned above he leaves to forever cherish his memory a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family & friends.
