Diane M. Roberts

Diane Marie Hardie-Roberts age 65, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 31, 2020, at St. Peters Hospital in Albany, NY.  She was born June 4, 1954, in Bronx, New York to John C. Hardie and Alice Lee (Rouse) Hardie both predeceased. She was a graduate of James Monroe High School in the Bronx, NY, where she studied nursing correlated curriculum.  She met and married Alphonso Roberts, 1974 in Albany, NY. After marriage they moved to Georgia.
 
When Diane returned to Albany NY, she worked at Albany Memorial Hospital in Food Service for a short period. She also worked at Albany County Nursing Home as Assistant Cook and a second job at Catholic Charities as a Resident Counselor.  
 
Diane was a devoted mother and grandmother. She was a spiritual woman and involved in many church activities.  She attended and was a member of the Christian Memorial Church, now known as Christ Church of Albany, for over 15 years. She enjoyed sewing, bowling, fishing, going to church, eating out, and going to the movies. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all that knew her. 
 
She is survived by her three daughters Takisha S. Roberts, Natalie S. Roberts, and Joanna M. Roberts. Her grandchildren Kierr Roberts, Janiek Roberts, J’Ziah Roberts, Arianna Diaz, Kiara Baxter, Christopher Brown, and Jamari Daniels. Her great-grandchildren Nevaeh Unique Shondelle Lewis, Alaiya Noel Roberts-Carpio, Kyliek Roberts (unborn). Three sisters Myra D.Farrow, Deborah Terrell, Karen Hardie-Wight, two brothers Albert Hardie, Thomas Hardie, and a host of family and friends.
