Clifford F. Brewer was born February 26, 1935 to the late Henry T. and Bernice (Wylie) Brewer in Coeymans, NY. Clifford departed this life on March 14, 2022 at 2:46 AM at the Samuel S. Stratton VA Medical Center in Albany, NY. Clifford was educated in the Ravena-Coeymans School District and was a life long member of Riverview Missionary Baptist Church where he formed a special bond and friendship with one of its former Pastors, Reverend Alan Williams. In 1958 he enlisted in the US Army and was stationed in Korea. Clifford received an Honorable Discharge after which he returned to the US and settled down in his hometown of Coeymans.
Uncle Clifford or CB as he was affectionately known loved to sing, pencil sketch drawings, play the harmonica and was a Bible scholar. He was able to quote and find passages of scripture at the drop of a hat. Clifford was also an avid baseball fan with the NY Mets being his favorite team.
Clifford was predeceased by six siblings (four sisters and two brothers): Mary Willie (Lavere, deceased) Deyo, Lucinda (Leonard Sr, deceased) Comithier, John (Estelle, deceased) Brewer, Pearl Ann (James) Boxley, Eleanor Blanton, and Earl (Patrica) Brewer.
Clifford leaves to mourn his passing four siblings consisting of two sisters and two brothers. Inez (Mitchell, deceased) Stevens of Coeymans, NY, Sheila (Robert Sr) Hughes of Selkirk, NY, Alfonso (Carmen) Brewer of South Plainfield, NJ and Lawrence (Theresa) Brewer of Albany, NY. He is also survived by Brother in law James Boxley of Saratoga, NY, Sister in law Patrica Brewer of Edgartown, MA and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The Brewer and extended family would like to thank the Medical staff, Office of Administration and any other personnel of the Samuel S. Stratton VA Medical Center who had a hand in the care and well being of our beloved Clifford F. Brewer.
