Clarence Edward Coffin Sr. of Troy, NY
Entered into eternal peace after a long illness on December 13, 2022.
Born in Albany, NY to Robert GA Coffin Jr. of Philadelphia PA and Muguette JA Ponty Coffin of Normandy, France on December 14, 1952. (Both Deceased)
Clarence attended the Albany School District in Albany, NY. After attending school, Clarence was employed by CMP Industries in North Albany.
Clarence was well loved by the elders and many others in the North Albany and Hamilton Hill, Schenectady communities. He was known for spending most of his days assisting them and doing odd jobs, and household repairs. His hobbies included playing the drums, collecting and listening to old-school R&B music, and repairing used electronics and household items. His motto was waste not want not and if you're going to do something, do it right or not at all. Clarence loved life and serving others, but his greatest love was his family, children and grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his brothers, John Coffin Sr., Robert Coffin III, Anthony Coffin Sr., Gregory Coffin and Phillip Coffin.
He leaves behind his brothers, Torrence Coffin, Daniel Coffin, and Michael Coffin Sr. His sisters Patricia Washington, Mary Harris and Josette Coffin.
He also leaves behind the beautiful legacy that are his children, Clarence Coffin Jr., Edwin Coffin, and Teneka Coffin along with 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren as well as a whole host of family and friends. He is predeceased by his youngest son, Marquis Coffin.
The family would like to extend their love and a special note of thanks to Clarence's niece, Bridget, who became his primary care-giver and worked tirelessly to make him comfortable during his illness and was with him during his transition.
