Chyna Unique Forney, daughter of Shannon Forney and the late Michael Anderson Sr. departed this life suddenly and received her wings on May 3, 2021.

She was educated in the Albany school system. She attended Arbor Hill Elementary School, Hackett Middle School and was slated to graduate from Albany Leadership Charter High School for Girls with the class of 2021 in June.

Chyna was a girl with many talents and whatever Chyna was involved in she gave her all. Chyna had a deep affinity for track and field and began running in the Just Run program at Arbor Hill Elementary School. She continued running indoor and outdoor track for Albany Leadership Charter High School for Girls throughout her tenure in high school.

 In 2013 she joined the Tone Setter Step Team. She became a captain in 2017 and remained a captain until she graduated from the team on May 1, 2021. Chyna was a pivotal part of the team and made up many steps and chants. The Tone Setters are a sisterhood and Chyna was definitely a sister to all the girls on the team. The Tone Setters were more than a step team to her; they were her family. 

In 2015 Chyna joined the 2 Hot 4 U dance team. She became a captain in 2016. Chyna was a fearless captain and never backed down from a dance battle. Using her talents and her love for dancing she made up dance routines for her team. She loved her dance team and represented them with passion. 

Chyna was employed by Summer Youth for the City of Albany at the age of fourteen. She later became employed at McDonald’s where she rose to manager and was employed there upon her passing. 

She leaves to mourn her mother Shannon Forney, sister Naziray Forney, brothers Navion Forney and Michael Anderson Jr. Grandmother Shirley Anderson. Aunts Deondra Forney, Kimberly Scales,Tenise Green, Tia Powell (Al-Mumin), Sade’ Anderson, and Shanera Anderson. Uncles Corey Scales, James Johnson, and Benjamin Forney. Special cousins Dahjae “Dada'' Green, and Nazija Mitchell, two special men and father figures in her life, Patrick Dozier and Kareem Birthwright. Godmothers Treenah Walker and Desiree Davis along with a host of cousins and friends.

Chyna was predeceased by her father Michael Anderson Sr. her maternal grandmother Cheryl Scales and maternal grandfather Benjamin Forney Sr.

While Chyna’s life was short, she touched everyone she encountered. Known for her beautiful smile, her laugh, and her playful ways the diva herself will truly be missed as she wasdefinitely the life of the party.
