It is with a heavy heart that the family of Charles Eugene Gilbert announces his passing on Thursday March 25, 2021 at the young age of 61. Charles (aka Charlie; Carlos; Carlito) was a born-comedian who was beloved by everyone who came into his orbit. To know our brother was to really LOVE him. Charlie was an accomplished graphic artist and craftsman. He could fix anything that needed repairing - - without any formal training, he had an innate ability to do this.

Charlie was a handsome man who relished life! He so much wanted to visit the beautiful country of Portugal.

Charlie, the son of Bernard and Naomi Gilbert will be fondly remembered by his fiancee, Ms. Cynthia M.; his surviving siblings: Rubin B.; Sherrie A.; Maxine R.; and Michelle C.

In addition, there is grandmother, Keturah B.; aunt Denise W.; uncle Rod (Tony) F.

Charlie also has a host of nieces and nephews including Juton G; Paul G.; Joseph G; Sherrie  (L’il Mama) G.; Peter P., Jr.; Jamal G.; Sherrie G.; Theresa G. and Diasia G.

A Memorial for Charles Eugene Gilbert will be held on Sunday April 11, 2021 starting at 2:00 PM and is scheduled to end at 3:00 PM at the S.L. McLaughlin Funeral Home located at 1226 Broadway; Albany, New York 11204. Ms. Cynthia M. will preside.
