CAROLYN TAYLOR was born on Sunday, September 20, 1942 and entered into the arms of the Lord while surrounded at home by her loving family on Friday, December 23, 2022.
Carolyn was born and raised in Daphne, AL and attended Baldwin County Public schools. She later acquired an Associates degree in nursing from Alabama State College in Mobile, AL.
Carolyn wed Frederick Taylor in 1964 and moved to Albany, NY in 1971 where she continued employment as a nurse at Ann Lee Nursing Home.
She leaves to cherish her sweet memories her son Frederick Taylor II, two daughters Kimberly A. Taylor and Racquel N. Skervin (Nasson), her daughter-in-law Pamela M.Taylor, and her two beloved sisters Rose M. Washington and Patricia King. She also leaves thirteen grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, nine nieces and nephews, two dear bonus daughters Tyiesha Edge and Krystal Skervin (Jamel), as well as her two closest friends Hattie L. Frost and Deacon Keith Smith.
Carolyn was predeceased by her father Emory Wilburn, her mother Emma Penn, her brother James Wilburn and her son Timothy V. Taylor.
In the early 1980's, and determined to serve God, she joined and faithfully served as choir president at Mt. Moriah Baptist church in Albany, NY for 20+ years and later became a devoted member of Macedonia Baptist Church in Albany, NY where she continued to happily serve the Lord until He called her home. Carolyn was a God-fearing woman who loved the Lord immensely.
She was as well a very loving and sweet person who always had wise and kind words to share with anyone she came into contact with. She will be sorely missed by all her friends, family and church family. HOWEVER, they are comforted knowing she is resting peacefully at home with her Father God.
