Bruce White Obituary

Bruce David White passed away peacefully in the arms of his lifelong
love, wife and friend, Linda “Deany” White on October 22, 2025, after
over twenty-four years of carrying the cross of several serious medical
conditions. He was born August 25, 1953, in Albany, NY to the late
Willie and Lillian White.

David, as he was known, went through the Albany school system. At
the very young age of 13, David was introduced to Deany by his late
brother, George. This introduction was the beginning of a 60-year
relationship, including 28 years of marriage. During their courtship,
they had a son, Jarming.

Although physically separated for 22 years, David and Deany
remained in contact, found their way back to each other, got married
(their vows were composed from letters they had written each other
over the years) and stayed together until death did they part. David
accepted and was father to Deany’s two older sons, Charles, aka, Ali-
Real and Jamel Muhammad. Later in their union, David and Deany
became guardians/parents to their great-nephew, Se’maj, who David
loved unconditionally and to no end.

David had an unquenchable thirst for knowledge. He was often
spending his spare time researching topics of interest or reading
books. He had a strong desire to help the “misguided” which led him
to becoming a counselor. He worked as a counselor until his illness
forced him to retire. Even after leaving the physical workplace, he
designed and implemented his own project, “StayFokused”.
He was an avid Eagles fan and enjoyed the banter with his son,
Jarming and anyone else who was not an Eagles fan! David enjoyed
playing chess with his family and friends.

David was preceded in death by his two sisters and four brothers.

David is survived by his devoted wife, Linda-Deany, his sons, Jarming
White, Charles (Ali-Real) Brown, Jamel Muhammad and Se’maj Bell.
His grandchildren, Jayden, Shamyla, Jahmir, Davasia, Jarming (Kai),
Jaquan, Amaya, Amea and Jewelz White, Elijah, Ali-Real and El-
Jaquhad Brown, Ali Temple, and Isa Muhammad. His great
grandchildren, Davyon Miller, Jeremiah Franklin, Javar, Lavish and
Nazara Brown. Two sisters, two brothers, his sisters and brothers in
law, a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends, and a
special sister-in-law, Delores Jackson.

His journey on this earth was one marked by love, compassion, and
unwavering faith in God. His passing has left a void in the hearts of his
family, friends, and many more whose lives were touched by him. We
ask that you remember him not for the way his life ended, but for the
way it was lived, and for the profound impact it had on the lives of
those who had the pleasure of knowing him.
