Brent P. Fowler was born in Albany, NY on September 13, 1978 to the late, Tommy Fowler and Mother Sarah Fowler. He entered into sudden eternal rest on Saturday, February 27, 2021.
Brent grew up in downtown Albany, NY, of which he was very proud of. He attended Cathedral Academy and Albany City Schools as well as Schenectady Community College. Brent was gifted and skilled in many areas and was particularly gifted with his hands and in music. He also had a very vibrant, loving, and outgoing personality. If he loved you, he loved. When Brent was in a room, everybody would know it because he had a way of telling people about all of his stories and adventures that would have you in stitches.
Over the years, Brent worked several jobs and spent many years in retail and in the food industry. He would often talk about opening up his own store, or a restaurant because he had an entrepreneur spirit, and business was in him. He would often get promoted fast on the job and loved “being the boss.” In addition, Brent also served time in the Army National Guard.
Although Brent had some challenges in life, he held God in high esteem and grew up in church. Brent didn’t mind working and serving in the church whenever he could. So, his faith was also a big part of his life. He grew up in church and loved attending Holy Deliverance, COGIC, as a youth. A few of the churches that he attended later in life were St. John’s, COGIC, More Abundant Living Ministries, Refreshing Springs (where he experienced a major life change and began to turn his life around), and most recently, New Jerusalem Home of the Saved.
Brent was a people person, and would go out of his way to help people. He would also stop to speak and chop it up, with what seemed like everybody. While Brent had a sense of humor and could be really funny, he also wasn’t the person you wanted to scrap with because after all, “he was good with his hands.” Lastly, all though his time here with us seemed short, he has left a lasting impression.
Survivors he left to cherish his loving memory are his mother, Sarah Fowler of Colonie, NY; his brothers Timothy Fowler (Rochelle) of Colonie, NY and Kadeem and Azayvus Fowler of Albany, NY; his niece Laila Fowler and nephews, James Fowler and Daniel Thomas; also, his significant family, “His First Lady,” Lakiesha Bias, and twin sons, Paul and David Bias, his godparents, Pastor Darius and Mother Jacqueline Joell. Finally, he also leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and many, many friends.
